Two Homeless People Arrested After the Shooting in Kahului

Officials made known that the shooting took place on Hoohana Street around 4:30 a.m.

On Thursday at noon, officials at Police Department recognized Manuel Nunes Jr. as the wrongdoer in the incident. They stated he had a 12-gauge shotgun which he used to shoot a man in the head and back after an argument.

Nunes was imprisoned for second-degree murder and other offenses that include firearms.

Blossom Edayen Nunes was another man who was arrested for offenses related to firearms and tampering with evidence. The connection between these two men is yet unknown.

The victim is hospitalized and will stay at the Maui Memorial Medical Center.
